A 60/2 ply long staple Egyptian cotton thread from Mettler which feels soft and smooth like silk. It may be used by hand or machine with equally good effect.
This is perfect for patchwork piecing as the thread is so fine that it does not add bulk to the seams. For the same reason it is also excellent for applique.
It is actually a fine machine embroidery thread and also makes a very good bobbin thread. Due to special dyeing technology, it has an exceptional colour fastness. All round this is a very useful and versatile fine thread.
