QUILTING THREADS

Quilting thread is normally used to stich the layers of your quilt together - the backing fabric, wadding and the top of the quilt. They come in a wide range of colours from solid colours to a rainbow of variegated designs. For machine quilting you would use a slightly heavier needle and preferably a machine quilting needle specifically designed the cope with the increased thickness of the quilt and the heavier weight of the thread.
