"Floral Medallion" is from a book on paper piecing called "Easy Machine Paper Piecing" by Carol Doak, available from Amazon.
It is my second attempt at quilting, the first being of a similar size, 33" x 33". it was certainly a learning experience, working from the book, and effectively self-taught, therefore, and very satisfying to do.
