Basic Patchwork Prints
Patchwork fabrics come in an amazing selection and quite naturally the most striking designs are the ones to be noticed and remembered.
The memorable designs are often used with most effect when co-ordinated with a relatively humble basic print which acts as a foil to display the design. If you take your selected design and put it against different basic prints, varying in colour and depth of colour, you may be surprised at the variation in the way your design changes when it is coupled with different co-ordinates.
What you actually see is the difference in the relationship between two fabrics. You may want a very subtle result or something striking but the interaction between the two is certainly interesting. Never underestimate the importance of a basic print.
